Pathway: isDon's home -> Photos home -> Images by location -> South Australia -> Central and Northern Flinders Ranges -> Gammon Ranges (Vulkathunha) National Park ->
A choice of walks: I didn't do the full circuit, I went to Grindell's Hut and back, thinking that 12.6 km was more reasonable than the 18.4 loop . . . and I'm glad I did. The walk is not that difficult, it's just that it's a hot day and I'm unfit!
Most of the walk follows a dry creek bed, although there is a little water in one place, at Hell's Gate. Also on the walk are stands of young tree growth - obviously the result of past floods - views of the different types of rocks in the area and reminders that this was once farming land.
Highly enjoyable.
