At the end of a long, rough, winding and hilly road I came across a small town on the side of a gorgeous river. After paying the ferryman I crossed the river and found the road had changed to winding, hilly and rough!
A former mining town, now a fishing and tourist village. Gorgeous location on the banks of the Pieman River, a wide river with large trees along its banks. The road's not great, but the scenery definitely makes it worthwhile.
I just passed through, but the location and the thought of a cruise on the river make a return trip appealing.
