Kangaroo Island

Very close to the mainland, the island can be seen from the ferry terminal at Cape Jervis. A boat trip of less than an hour gets you onto the island known for its wildlife. More importantly there are very few people there, especially if you head west, away from the main towns located on the eastern end.
